Since we’re nearing the end of Nehemiah I’ve thought and prayed about where we might go next with our studies on Saturday morning. After some discussions with folks we’ve decided we’ll study the “Attributes of God”. Pastor Geoff and I explored this topic last summer as part of our work at Moody and found the topic amazing. And its very consistent with the mission of our church “to know Christ and to make HIm known”!
To guide our study we will work through the book Knowing God by J. I. Packer. I read this particular book already and I’m confident that you’ll enjoy it as much as I did. It is a highly regarded book on this topic. Additionally, Packer is a highly-regarded conservative Anglican who is admired by a broad spectrum of conservative Protestants.
The church will be ordering both the book and study guide in the coming week or so. We are asking for ~$20 to defray the costs of the materials to participate in the study. I think you will find this book a valuable addition to your personal library. I look forward to your participation in this journey!
