Philippians 4:8-9

by Pastor Ken on April 26, 2009

In a world of mass media, using the mind is not as popular as it used to be.  Talking heads on television provide pre-digested thoughts for us to consume in an attempt to sway public opinion and bring the changes that these self-proclaimed unbiased reporters desire.  Henry Ford said, “Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is the probable reason why so few engage in it.”

The Bible commands us to practice the discipline of using our minds.  Paul said, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2).  Let’s let the word of God renew our minds, transform our lives, and then swim against the currents of political correctness in our culture.
