To say that Christians are people who pray should be stating the obvious. Jesus taught His disciples to pray as He taught the Sermon on the Mount. Countless people can perhaps recite verbatim the Lord’s prayer (or more accurately, the disciple’s prayer). Just this morning I watched a popular YouTube video of a two-year old singing it!
It is certainly true that Christians pray because they are commanded to. But when a believer prays, he can know that God hears him and is delighted to answer him! Sometimes the answer is yes. Other times it is no. And there will be times when we may have to wait some time for the answer to come. But make no mistake - God answers prayer!
How can we witness more answered prayer in our lives? How can we know that we are praying according to His will? We can learn from the experiences of Solomon to better answer these questions.
