Colossians 1:24-29

by Pastor Ken on July 19, 2009

I tend to underestimate God’s power.  It is easy to conceive how God could use someone like Moses, Paul the Apostle, Martin Luther, Billy Graham, and pastor Chuck Smith.  But me?  How can God use someone like me?

“They all obviously had special talents and abilities that God could take advantage of.  But I do not possess anything special.  I am even average on an average scale.”

You don’t have to be somebody special for God to use you.  He specializes in using the everyday to do exceptional things.  Just be yourself and God will astound you.  Linda Millhouse Van Sweden, a famous hair stylist, says, “Always be a first-rate version of yourself instead of a second-rate version of someone else.”
