Growth is something that every Christian can participate in. Sometimes growth can come through education, sometimes it comes through effort, and sometimes God will even use difficulty and pain to bring growth. We don’t begin with maturity; it is something that we grow into.
I heard of a group of tourists that asked an old man if any great men were born in this small town they were visiting. The old man replied, “No, only babies.” We all start as babes in Christ, but let’s not be content to stay there. Let’s press towards the mark of the high calling of God in Christ (Philippians 3:13).
