It has been a challenging weekend for our church family. As small as our body is, we’ve suffered two losses over only a few days. Our hearts are grieving, and perhaps our minds are racing as we seek to understand what is sometimes simply impossible for we finite human beings to grasp.
Isaac Newton said in his first law of motion, “Everything continues in a state of rest, unless something outside of itself compels it to change.” Times like these cause us to realize that death is one of those outside forces that compels us to change. But beloved, Jesus promises to be with us through those changes. Let’s be comforted together as we listen to how our blessed Savior walks with us through all of the transitions of life, to our ultimate transition into eternity.
