1 Kings 20

by Pastor Ken on November 11, 2009

What regrets do you have?  There are certainly things in all of our lives that if we could go back and change them, no doubt we surely would.  Consider some higher-profile individuals who made mistakes - our former governor, for example.  Many of us remember the day he admitted his involvement with a call girl down in Washington D.C. some time before.  Of course, it was also the look on his wife’s face as she stood in the background that spoke volumes as to what had happened.

Can we learn from the missed opportunities of others?  We’ll see in our text how God gave King Ahab one such opportunity, but we’ll also find out about how he squandered it.  May we learn a valuable lesson here, that we might one day look back at our lives with at least a little less regret.
