People are an interesting study; they are so unpredictable. Frederick the Great said, “The more I get to know people, the more I love my dog.” We can become somewhat cynical about human nature, especially as we read the papers and watch the news. But there is one Person who knows human nature infinitely better than we do and has not given up on the human race.
John says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Jesus loves people; He’s interested in people. If we are going to be like Him, then we must love people too. Don’t let the failures of some discourage you from loving the rest.
